Elementary Guidance Office

Welcome to the Elementary School Counseling Department!
We service grades Pre-K through Sixth.

Mrs. Julie Eppley and Mrs. Jamie Montag are excited to welcome you to our school!  As your elementary school counselors, we are committed to supporting every student’s academic success and personal/social development. Our goal is to ensure that all students benefit from a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes growth, resilience, and well-being.

Throughout the school year, we offer a variety of preventive and educational programs in collaboration with outside agencies to enhance our core counseling curriculum. These programs focus on important topics such as anti-bullying, character education, and drug and alcohol prevention.

We also provide short-term, solution-focused counseling for students experiencing challenges such as grief or loss, family changes, friendship difficulties, bullying, anxiety (including school-related or test anxiety), and behavioral concerns. When appropriate, students may also receive support through small group counseling.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to reach out if they believe their child would benefit from meeting with a school counselor. We also offer a variety of parenting resources available, covering topics such as behavior support and family concerns. If a student’s needs extend beyond the school setting, we can assist families by sharing community resources and referrals.

In addition, we are proud members of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) team at Forest Hills Elementary School and work closely with staff and families to support student success.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or feel we can be of support. We look forward to partnering with you this school year!
