School Counselors

Welcome to Mrs. Eppley and Mrs. Montag's counseling webpage!
In the 2024-2025 school year:
  • Mrs. Montag has grades K, 2, 4, & 6.
  • Mrs. Eppley has grades Pre-K, 1, 3, & 5.

Mrs. Julie Eppley and Mrs. Jamie Montag welcome you to the Elementary School Guidance Department Website.  We are here to provide support in advocating for your children's academic and personal/social development.  We want to ensure that every student receives the benefit of the school counseling program to foster student improvement.  We schedule a variety of educational prevention programs for students with outside agencies to supplement our core program (see guidance calendar), which includes anti-bullying, drug and alcohol prevention, and character education.

We provide individual brief counseling for crisis situations; such as the loss of a family member or pet, parental divorce, friendship concerns or difficulty getting along with others, bullying issues, anxiety (particularly school phobia or testing anxiety) concerns, behavioral concerns, etc.  At times we may provide support through small group meetings.  If you feel your child needs to see the school counselor, please contact us at the appropriate extension. We also have a number of parenting resources that you can borrow to help with discipline and other issues.  If we feel your child has a concern that needs to be further addressed with an outside agency we can provide you with a community resource brochure.  We also are core team members of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) at Forest Hills Elementary School.  Please don't hesitate to call if you feel we can be of service.
